OBIEE11g:Lookup Failed For User GUID: 0 (Doc ID 1643585.1)


Scenario:

We get the error message (Lookup Failed for User GUID:0) when we try to edit the saved Agents.

Solution:

It is a know bug. The solutions has been given in oracle support. Below is the details given in oracle support for this issue.


Applies to:

Business Intelligence Server Enterprise Edition - Version 11.1.1.7.131017 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Upgraded OBIEE 11.1.1.7 to  11.1.1.7.131017 and received the following error when editing anAgent:

Lookup failed for userGUID: 0

Changes

Upgraded from OBIEE 11.1.1.7 to  11.1.1.7.131017, however this issue has been experienced when upgrading to other Bundle Patches as well.

Cause

This issue is caused by the following bug:

Bug 17896330 - AGENT REPLACING "SPECIFIED BY USER" FIELD

Solution

The bug has now been fixed.
Patch 17896330 AGENT REPLACING "SPECIFIED BY USER" FIELD can be downloaded.  It is available for different versions of OBIEE.  If you are unsure please provide Oracle Support with your OBIEE version  and the output to the command 'Opatch Lsinventory' which will inform us of what Patch level you are on.  Support can then advise you to a appropriate Patch.
